Knoxville Concerts on the Square

Knoxville Tennessee Downtown

Knoxville’s Market Square is the city’s Tuesday night hot spot this summer. Located in the city’s vibrant downtown area, Market Square is all about entertainment. It’s a great place for music, shopping, dining and fun. People relocating to Knoxville will love this destination. Throughout the month of May, free spring concerts will be presented at the square. Here’s the lineup:

May 5 - Symphony on the Square
May 12 - Kelsey's Woods
May 19 - Scruffy City Syncopators
May 26 - The Young Fables

Market Square is the heartbeat of Downtown Knoxville. It is used year-round as a venue for special outdoor events, including community band concerts and a seasonal Farmer’s Market where fresh produce, seasonal items, food and crafts are available twice weekly. An open-air ice skating rink is created in the square every winter.

To be or not to be? Market Square is the place to be for Shakespeare on the Square. The series features two of the magnificent plays of Williams Shakespeare, comedies, tragedies and histories, rotated nightly outdoors on Market Square in the heart of downtown Knoxville. This year, The Merry Wives of Windsor and King Lear will be performed. From mid-July to mid-August a blanket or a camp chair is all you need to view these performances.
