Dolphin, manatee, and¬†bird wildlife are common sightings¬†along this¬†expansive waterway.

Adjacent to the clubhouse is the community's 6,500-square-foot fitness center.

Membership is inexpensive at about $200¬†a year plus¬†the $180 initiation fee. Events include a monthly Destination Cruise, On Deck Happy Hour, Captain's Coffee Hour, and seasonal themed events. This friendly Vero Beach Intracoastal Waterway marina community often hosts visiting yacht clubs at their community docks.¬†Established in the late 1970's, this Vero Beach neighborhood¬†in one of the best art towns in Florida is meticulously maintained and beautifully landscaped with lush tropical palm trees. We enjoyed sitting on the veranda and watching the sunset views from the clubhouse.

Vero Beach real estate developer Jorge Gonzalez began development of The Moorings in 1971. By 1984, the development was completed and club amenities were turned over to club members. In 2004, Hurricane Francis destroyed the clubhouse. The Moorings Clubhouse has been rebuilt and no special assessment was imposed upon property owners.
