Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, this Dahlonega neighborhood is a Tuscan-style master planned community folding beautifully into a thriving working vineyard producing delicious award winning wines available on wine tours in Georgia. The intimate village reflects Old World Italian architecture with a backdrop of rolling hills and mature hardwood trees. As roads weave through the community, a stacked stone bridge leads residents and visitors over a rushing stream to the winery. We find Montaluce appealing because of its location in one of the best Georgia small towns.

The centerpiece of Montaluce is its 25,000 square foot clubhouse. The modern winery and delicious restaurant is named Le Vigne. Le Vigne has been named the Most Romantic Restaurant and Best Ambiance by Open Table. If you're like us, time seems to stand still as you enjoy the long range mountain views overlooking the vineyards while taking a wine flight from your table ( sampling ) during lunch or dinner. How nice to not have to leave your master planned community for a dinner of this caliber although there are plenty of great choices in one of the most charming Georgia small towns, Dahlonega.
Walking around the neighborhood is easy because of the gentle topography. You sense spaciousness by the open patterned vineyards dotting the horizon as the sounds of nature tickle your senses. To us, the outdoor swimming pool seemed a bit understated such as wooden picnic tables around the pool verses quality patio chairs, although completed amenities built early on are always a plus verses undelivered promises by a real estate developer. This is an easy fix and we look forward to seeing Montaluce's progress.
Up to this point, we have not seen a master planned community in the Southeast focused around an active winery included in the wine tours in Georgia. 300 homes are planned ranging from 1 to 3 acres. Also on the planning board, 2 and 3 bedroom cottage homes, tennis courts and a proposed spa. To date 19 homes and villas have been built to date. Lots start in the $60k's and homes for sale in northern GA at Montaluce are priced in the mid $500k's. Some of the lots border the Etowah River. The planned cottage homes are projected to be priced in the $200k's.
When you compare the cost of living against the northeastern states, you'll find Dahlonega is one of the most affordable cities in northern Georgia. Dahlonega has a charming historic square with many delicious restaurants and unique boutiques. Quality medical care is also nearby along with the North Georgia College and State University.

We were informed new owners are in the process of acquiring ownership of Montaluce and will be moving forward with development. We believe Montaluce is one of our best kept secrets in northern Georgia.
