Reynolds broke ground on Achasta Golf Club in 2007. The infrastructure and primary amenities are complete. A second clubhouse named The Mountain View Club is proposed. Achasta Golf Club is one of several Reynolds Linger Longer Communities.
In early 2011, Reynolds Plantation faced foreclosure from the lender, the lender refusing to renew Reynolds Plantation outstanding loans. On May 6, 2011, Mercer Reynolds wrote Achasta Golf Club property owners advising them of the appointed Receiver now managing and controlling Achasta's assets, on behalf of the lender.
