Voted #11 of the 25 Best Courses You Can Live On by Golf Magazine, Briar's Creek is surrounded by a 902 acre Audubon Silver Sanctuary south of Charleston. Rees Jones designed the stunning golf course preserving sweeping views of the Kiawah River making it one of the finest South Carolina golf communities. The 26,000 square foot elegant two story golf clubhouse has a grand wraparound porch with spectacular views of the marshland, the velvety green golf course and Briar's Creek. The golf clubhouse offers formal and casual dining making it a one of the traditional country clubs in Charleston SC. In addition, it has a member's club cottage overlooking the 10th fairway and a practice range adjacent to the clubhouse. A Wellness Center, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts are planned.

When the development is fully built out, only 89 estate size homes will ultimately call Briar's Creek home. Of the 110 lots platted, 11 homes have been built to date and they are stunningly beautiful. The lot sizes are larger than most, ranging from 1 acre to over 7 acres. The community began in 2000 and has won several prestigious golf course awards which includes Best New Private Golf Course by Golf Digest and Top 100 Golf Course by Golf Magazine. Club membership will only allow a maximum of 300 members. The benefit to club members is no tee times are needed to play the golf course. Property owners are not required to join the golf club.

Briar's Creek is a low density neighborhood and one of a kind. The understated gated entrance leads you down a path of majestic Grand Oak trees swaying in the breeze. Wildlife is all around you. Briar’s Creek is home to American Bald Eagles, Wood Storks, White Ibis and other rare native and migrating birds. The tranquility and privacy are captivating. Families who desire to own a boat will find dockage available at the Bohicket Marina Village, about 6 miles from the entrance to Briar's Creek. Freshfield Village in the same area is a nostalgia town square and home to a local farmer's market, several restaurants, post office, dry cleaner, pharmacy and more shops in the same area. Downtown Charleston is about 16 miles away, where you will find top notch medical care, fresh seafood restaurants, interesting boutiques and outdoor festivals year round.
