Situated on the Neuse River and southern end of the Pamlico Sound, Arlington Place is one of the newer North Carolina coastal communities just 25 minutes north of downtown New Bern named one of America's Best Small Towns by Time Magazine. Amenities in place include two clubhouses; the Burton Village Clubhouse and an Outfitters Center. The community's clubhouse features a resort-style swimming pool, two lighted tennis courts, basketball court and a children's playground.  The Outfitters Center overlooks Mill Creek connecting to the Neuse River. A fishing pier, kayak and canoe storage are attributes of the center making it easy for outdoor enthusiasts to access Mill Creek. The gated community's interior roads lead to attractive cul-de-sacs, neighborhood designs common in coastal retirement communities.

Arlington Place is a deepwater community 10 miles upriver of the Intracoastal Waterway with a higher land elevation. The 25 foot elevation makes the community more appealing to those concerned about owning new homes in New Bern NC in a coastal flood zone. High bluff riverfront, river view and wooded homesites are property choices available. Planned in the future is Arlington Harbor, a 19 acre deepwater marina on the Neuse River. We have the community's July 2011 permit on file which reflects approval of 91 wet boat slips and a boat ramp. Arlington Place has a second permit on file dated December 2012 approving two dry boat stacks. Other amenities planned include a second swimming pool, fitness center, restaurant and walking trails. Just down the road, Minnesott Beach Golf & Country Club and Cherry Branch ferry to the south side of town.

Of the 800 homes planned, approximately eleven new homes in New Bern NC have been built to date. Arlington Place homes include traditional Southern-style homes and small footprint cottages. Manusco Development and Coastal Heritage Construction are two popular home builders in the area's coastal retirement communities.

The Epiphany School, Craven Early College High School, Grover C Fields Middle School and Bridgeton Elementary School are the closest best schools to the neighborhood.

"Arlington Place is definitely a place to call home. Quiet and serene atmosphere; well suited for executive and luxurious living, baby boomers, sailboating, canoeing and golf! A well kept secret on the inner coastal waterways."

"Arlington Place is our heaven on earth. We bought a lot in 2013 and can't wait to build our dream house! Blair and Becca are the perfect "ambassadors" for the neighborhood."

"I believe your score is too low. We moved here in July 2013 and have been living here ever since. Lots of lanes for walking and biking. Great clubhouse, pool & kayak/canoe area. Golf course is 5 minutes away. Nearby Oriental is delightful."
