BMW Pro Am Charity Tournament
Published on February 5, 2015

Back by popular demand, The Reserve at Lake Keowee has been selected as one of the hosting 2015 BMW Charity Pro-Am Tournament golf courses. The exciting event is scheduled for May 14-17, 2015. It’s the third consecutive year the tournament teams up with the area’s best golf communities in the Upstate.

This is the only tournament on the Web.com Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Web.com Tour professionals in a 4-day better-ball competition over 3 courses. To date, more than 120 celebrities, including Kevin Costner, Kurt Russell, Wayne Gretzky, Dennis Quaid and Catherine Bell have participated in the tournament, which is broadcast worldwide by the Golf Channel. The event is a fun way for golf enthusiasts to rub elbows in friendly competition, and better yet, an important way to support local charitable causes.

In 2014 at Lake Keowee, one of the best golf communities in South Carolina, brought crowds of people to the Annual BMW Charity Pro-Am Tournament and generated over $836,000 in proceeds to help local charities. Since 2001, more than $10.8 million has been raised for charitable giving. Celebrities, residents and visitors will gather again and this year it is expected to be even better!

Officials from South Carolina Charities, Inc., the non-profit that manages the BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation, announced that Volunteer Registration and Ticket Sales for the 2015 tournament opened on Feb. 2, 2015. Volunteer registration and ticket sales are two of the three risk-free programs that the tournament provides charities to earn funds. The third program is the selling of teams in the tournament’s one-day pro-am events. Charities will receive 100% of ticket sales funds up to $20,000. The tickets eligible for the 100% donation are Daily ($10), Patron ($25) and Clubhouse ($50) Credentials, all of which are available for purchase at bmwcharitygolf.com.
