If you are thirsty after your tour, we can recommend some places for a beer or glass of wine. Besides great food in one of the best coastal towns in North Carolina, you can also find a multitude of microbreweries. Three of the top breweries in Wilmington are:

Front Street Brewery - With 5 flagship craft beers, 350 whiskeys on the shelf, and menu items like Beer Nuggets and a Carolina Shrimp Wrap, this is one of the top spots for a cold beer and a meal. You can take a brewery tour every day at 3 p.m., and see just what it takes to make a tasty craft brew. Front Street Brewery is located at 9 N. Front Street Wilmington, NC 28401, and they can be reached at 910-251-1935.

Flytrap Brewing - More of an intimate neighborhood brewery, this is a great place to meet a friend or colleague for a drink. Specializing in American and Belgian style ales, Flytrap Brewing brews its own craft beers right on their own premises. Apart from their beers, they offer snacks like guacamole, herb goat cheese, and black bean hummus for dipping. Flytrap Brewing is located at 319 Walnut Street Wilmington, and can be reached at 910.769.2881.

Port City Brew Bus - On the Port City Brew Bus, you'll take brewery tours of one of the best coastal towns in North Carolina. Bus tours include the Downtown and Midtown Sampler (a tour of 3 downtown breweries), the Workweek Threedom Tour (a tour of 3 breweries), and the Cape Fear Comedy Brew Tour (a tour of 3 breweries, with entertainment by 3 comedians). And besides the food, there are many reasons people choose to move to Wilmington. Over the years, Wilmington has grown into a vibrant coastal city. People are drawn to the area for its beautiful beaches, mild weather, and affordable Wilmington NC real estate. The Cape Fear River and its islands offer world class boating, fishing, bird watching, and other outdoor activities. And whether you like to play golf or tennis, or plant in your garden, you can find these things and more in active adult communities.

One of the most exciting active adult communities in the Wilmington area is RiverLights, a multi-generational community for families and retirees. This new coastal southern community features more than 1400 acres, with 500 acres of planned space that incorporates natural sand dunes, tidal marshes, and wetlands. With beautiful riverfront, lakefront, and waterfront homes, and its proximity to downtown Wilmington, this is one of the most desirable communities to live in in the area.

The oceanside Wilmington NC real estate by Del Webb at RiverLights offers healthy living and amenities. Amenities in the community include a waterfront boardwalk, beautiful community parks, and nature trails that wander all throughout the property. Soon to come will be Marina Village, with shops, cafes, and restaurants for residents and guests. For retirees who love fresh air, nature, outdoor sports, and  nearby scenic beaches, we believe RiverLights is a top choice to move to for retirement.
