The Cumberlands and The Smokies are situated to allow storms to move east and bypass the foothills where we live. Many storms follow the KY - TN border and miss us. Beautiful vistas of Mountains and lakes with 3 golf courses and a very conservative POA who does an excellent job of long range planning.
