What would a perfect neighborhood look like, if we could create one? Likely it would be a place to live, play, relax, and have all of life's top conveniences very close by. That's what the Murphy family has created at River Landing, a friendly community snuggled near Wilmington, North Carolina. Here you'll find fun people, exciting amenities, the River Landing country club, and Wilmington NC real estate in an attractive country setting.

The Murphy family began developing River Landing in 1996, with dreams of making an ideal place for families of all ages and retirees. In their original plans, they hoped to incorporate River Landing golf course, River Landing country club, and a modern fitness center. Mission accomplished! Since then, they have completed two 18-hole championship golf courses designed by Clyde Jonhson, a 48,000 square foot stunning clubhouse, a fitness center, swimming pools, tennis courts, walking/biking trails, and its River Lodge for social gatherings with direct river access for kayaks and canoes. All this and the gated community is still debt free.

With not just one River Landing golf course, but two spectacular courses, those who love the game can play it to their hearts delight. On the River Course, you can play along the quiet waters of the Cape Fear River, and on the Landing Course, enjoy Champion Bermuda greens that were designed by Clyde Johnson. Whichever River Landing golf course you prefer, you'll never grow tired of the country scenery. And if you are a beginning golfer, you can get lessons from professionals and new gear at the pro shop. Its two courses are on the list of “Top 50” Golf Courses, by the NC Golf Panel 2015 & 2016.

And besides the amenities already mentioned, the River Landing country club has a spectacular River Lodge, with canoe and kayak launches on the banks of the Cape Fear River. You can launch your kayak from the lodge, paddle under the shady trees along the river banks, and have a picnic just upstream with friends and family. Its details like these, among other things, that make Wilmington NC real estate at River Lodge so appealing.
