Compass Pointe Golf Club to Host Hurricane Relief Tournament

Compass Pointe community fundraising event in Wilmington
Published on September 18, 2018

Compass Pointe Golf Club is happy to announce that with the help of many residents coming together to get the community back to normal after Hurricane Florence, and in appreciation of the high elevation and expert design of the course, we will host the Rick Robbins Apex Tournament tomorrow, September 19th at 1:00pm.  Players should report to the Pro Shop at 12 noon where they will create teams and go over the rules.  Play will be free of charge; however, they will accept donations for hurricane relief efforts.  Managing Partner Jay Biggs stated, “We’re just so grateful to have fared the storm so well and I’m so impressed with the course drainage and design.  I could not be prouder of the Compass Pointe residents that have helped each other with resources during the storm and with the clean-up needed in the aftermath.  They are truly remarkable people that not only care about this community and each other, but also those affected in the surrounding areas.  We look forward to having some fun on the course tomorrow to lift spirits and raise money to help those around us.”
