With the year-end numbers all tallied, Harbor Club Properties has announced a 45% increase in real estate sales compared to 2016, according to  the Lake Country Board of Realtors. Harbor Club reports that $26.5 million in home, homesite, cottage and townhome properties were sold last year compared to $18.3 million in 2016. Additionally, the lakefront community has 23 new homes currently under construction by existing property owners, and over 50 new home builds are planned for 2018.

“It has been extremely exciting to see so many new families move to Harbor Club this year,” says Kathy Phillips, director of real estate sales. ”It’s a testament to the long term commitment of the developer to expanding and enhancing its amenity base, and to providing a diverse collection of membership activities that nurtures a grounded sense of community and family here at the Lake Oconee.” Harbor Club continues to be the only major community on Lake Oconee to offer residents a social membership option. Additionally, they have a variety of non-resident and corporate membership programs.

Harbor Club on Lake Oconee enjoyed a milestone year in 2017 in other respects, including being handpicked as a Southern Living Inspired Community by the magazine’s editors, whose criteria for the recognition includes “neighborhoods marked by charm, taste and Southern spirit that embody a distinctive pride of place.”

The highlight of the inaugural-year partnership with Southern Living came in the fall when Harbor Club unveiled its Southern Living Inspired Home, a 3,380-square-foot, four-bedroom, four-bath plan called The Woodmere that blends a modern décor with southern farmhouse rustic character.

The past year also saw Harbor Club earning national accolades, including:

  • The “Best Lake Community of the Year - Bliss Award,” from Real Estate Scorecard.
  • The community’s popular new marina amenity, The Boathouse, was named “Best Recreational Facility” during the National Association of Homebuilders Aurora Awards.
  • Harbor Club’s engaging lakefront golf course continues to be regarded as the “#3 Golf Course You Can Play” in Georgia by the Golfweek Magazine golf raters panel.
  • And Harbor Club was chosen as a Course of Distinction in LINKS Magazine’s Premier Properties Guide.

In the year ahead Harbor Club will continue to expand the breadth of its home building products with a wide range of size and price points. Homes as small as 2,100 square feet to over 4,000 square feet will be priced from the 300’s to 800’s, providing new home options to a variety of consumer needs.

In addition, Harbor Club currently has three “designer ready” homes near completion to the point where home owners will have the opportunity to come in and make their own selections of cabinetry, lighting, tile, countertops, appliances and color palettes from its highly appointed Design Studio.

Residential sales at the community are driven by Harbor Club Properties, a partnership between Harbor Club and the Atlanta-based sales and marketing specialists, Ansley Atlanta.
