Foodies in Georgia no longer have to flock to big cities like Atlanta to find delicious cuisine. Nearby Jasper, Georgia is quickly becoming a hot spot for dining enthusiasts.  Nicknamed "The First Mountain City," Jasper is located 50 miles north of Atlanta, Georgia.  The area is known for Big Canoe homes, one of the state’s best mountain gated communities.

It’s also home to many great places to eat.  For one, the change of season has brought a change to one of the area’s top restaurants, 61 Main.  It’s well known for its fresh foods – especially the short ribs... perhaps the most popular item on their excellent dinner menu.

“We are a farm-to-table restaurant and we strive to do everything as organically, locally, and sustainably as possible.  We have partnered with local growers and farms and ranches so almost all of our vegetables, herbs, and other products come from Jasper and the surrounding area!  We tailor our offerings based upon what our farmers have available.  Lastly, we have several gluten free and vegetarian options on both the lunch and dinner menus as our culinary team is prepared to accommodate almost any dietary need,” said Rob Jarrett, Operations Manager at 61 Main.
