Savannah, Georgia is known for its beautiful Historic District filled with cobblestone streets, Antebellum mansions, fascinating museums and grandiose churches. The race is the highlight of this year’s Oktoberfest, set for Oct. 2th-4th. Festivities kick off on Friday from 4pm-10pm featuring first Friday fireworks at dark.  Saturday runs all day from 10am-10pm. Sunday’s Oktoberfest runs from 10am-5pm.

Savannah’s Riverfront district, which includes River Street, Bay Street and Hutchinson Island, has become a top attraction for visitors. There’s no place quite like it. There are casual and upscale restaurants with inside and outside dining, pubs, bistros and live music. 

Shopping is another big attraction to the Riverfront. City Market is just two blocks from River Street. The fifty-block Victorian District is situated just south of the Historic District. This area contains a large number of Victorian homes featuring whimsical gingerbread trim, stained glass windows, and many unique architectural details.
