Buyers searching for golf cart retirement communities will find Kenmure Country Club's particularly attractive by being so close to downtown Flat Rock. There's plenty to do. Blue Ridge Community College, award winning restaurants and fun shopping are all within 15 minutes of Kenmure's gated entrance. Flat Rock Playhouse is one of the busiest North Carolina state theaters, providing year round live entertainment only 1.7 miles from Kenmure.
Amenities include two swimming pools, one indoor saline swimming pool and one outdoor heated swimming pool overlooking six tennis courts. Four of the tennis courts are hard surface and the other are soft surface. The 3,400 square foot fitness center overlooks the golf course and provides exercise equipment, saunas, fitness classes and massage therapy by appointment. This 1,400 acre gated community began development in the mid 1980's. It's one of the first North Carolina mountain communities in the area. Today, about 700 homes of the 900 homes planned have been built to date. Unlike other mountain communities, utilities such as water, sewer and natural gas are provided by the City of Hendersonville to most of the homes in Kenmure. For a gated community, HOA fees are low at Kenmure at around $92 per month. HOA fees include road maintenance, garbage collection and 24 hour security. Property owners are not required to join the country club, although most do to participate in the social clubs and join to access the Hendersonville North Carolina real estate development's amenities.
Kenmure's new Ledgestone Cottage Home Collection turn-key homes for sale are priced in the mid $300k's and re-sale homes are available. Kenmure condos for sale may be found under $200k.
