This land tract was originally called Laurelmor developed by Bobby Ginn of Ginn Development. When the real estate market collapsed, Laurelmor was sold in bankruptcy to Reynolds Development and Management Group. Reynolds Development re-named Laurelmor - Reynolds Blue Ridge. Reynolds Development then re-named the community again to Blue Ridge Mountain Club.

Southeast LandCo Acquisition Fund (SELAF), a fund sponsored by Reynolds Capital Group, acquired Lubert-Adler’s remaining interests in Blue Ridge Mountain Club on September 4, 2012.
