As you pass through the entrance, majestic palm trees, the effervescent Mediterra Fountain, and meticulously groomed landscape captivate your attention. We've observed residents walking and biking trails throughout the European themed neighborhoods that lead to award-winning community parks such as Parterre Gardens, Calusa Play Park, and Parque Celestial.
Mediterra’s exceptional amenities include two championship golf courses designed by Tom Fazio, a golf practice facility, and two impressive clubhouses; the golf clubhouse and beach clubhouse overlooking the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The Piazza at Mediterra is the community's 25,000 square foot golf clubhouse, home to casual dining at its newly covered indoor/outdoor veranda or more elegant dining in one of its grand ballrooms. An $8.9 million dollar clubhouse renovation was recently completed.
Adjacent to the golf clubhouse is Mediterra's Sports Center, home to a fitness center, spa, and a heated outdoor resort-style swimming pool. The Sports Center offers personal trainers, fitness classes and spa services, by appointment. Mediterra has bocce ball courts, 7 Har-Tru tennis courts and an active tennis program including tennis lessons. Residents are social and friendly. Social clubs include Mah Jongg, Knitting, Book Clubs, Dinner Dances, Golf Events, and Sports Club Events. At a minimum, property owners are required to become social club members. Development of Mediterra began in 2001 by Bonita Bay Group. In 2009, Mediterra club members purchased the club amenities converting the community into a member-owned club. London Bay Homes continued the Mediterra legacy since purchasing the remaining homesites in the community in 2009 and managing new homes sales and marketing. The results speak for themselves: Mediterra was recently named Collier County’s Community of the Year for an unprecedented eighth time.
