Considered by many to be one the most prestigious Naples bundled golf communities, Grey Oaks Country Club is a 1,200-acre luxury home neighborhood centered around golf and is located in the heart of one of the best Florida retirement cities. Home to three championship golf courses, an 18-hole putting course, two driving ranges, two golf clubhouses, 8 lighted Har-Tru tennis courts, and two top notch fitness centers, the country club offers a comprehensive active lifestyle.

Peaceful mirror-like lakes complement the attractive golf courses: The Pine, The Palm, and The Estuary. Grey Oaks has been named the Florida Course of the Year by the National Golf Course Owners Association and a Top 35 Private Country Club. In addition, The Pine Course has been named one of the Top 50 Most Distinctive Courses in the Southeast by Golfweek Magazine. The Pine and Palm courses were designed by Clifton, Ezell & Clifton. The Estuary Course was designed by Bob Cupp.

The main clubhouse at Grey Oaks is magnificent at 62,000 square feet and is in close proximity to the luxury homes for sale in Naples Florida. Amenities include formal and casual dining, a wine tasting room, the community's heated resort-style swimming pool, and a fitness center. Personal trainers and massage therapists are available upon request. Eight Har-Tru tennis courts are adjacent to the main clubhouse. At the 19,000-square-foot, two-story Estuary clubhouse, we've enjoyed the panoramic views of its tranquil lake and picturesque 18th hole.

Casual dining is available inside as well as outside on the veranda. Overall, there are five separate dining venues at this gated community with live entertainment presented every Friday night in the members’ lounge. Grey Oaks Country Club has one of the most active social scenes. Their calendar of events include golf tournaments, cooking classes, art shows, fund raising events, themed parties, and glow ball (night golf), which we found delightful. Property owners are required to join the club.

Grey Oaks Country Club Reviews

4.1 / 5 (10 reviews)
"Grey Oaks in Naples, FL is a hostile and unfriendly community. New Pool Clubhouse and other top-notch improvements ran-up club debts to high levels. New club leadership has taken a hard-line toward long-standing staff members out of an apparent effort to control spiraling club debts. For example, a popular tennis coach with the Club for well over 20 years was terminated last week without notice (without notice to the terminated employee, to the member tennis committee or the to the club membership). A sports resident resignation puts you on a two-year waiting list to exit. Golf resident resignations take longer. The Homeowners Association has also compounded the problems by creating chaos with its undemocratic, anti-family changes and its oppressive new rules implemented just over two years ago. The value of the larger homes in Grey Oaks is collapsing as families flee or begin to fight the community takeover. In reaction to resident dissatisfaction, the Grey Oaks Country Club and the Grey Oaks POA is enacting insane new rules (not allowing photos to be taken anywhere in Grey Oaks without board permission, and not allowing journalists or reporters to set foot inside Grey Oaks*). I guess the preclusion of photographs will halt the Grey Oaks wedding business. In any event, banning reporters and photographs is one way to avoid resident dissatisfaction. Another way would be to engage with resident families and make the neighborhood better. That's not the approach Grey Oaks leadership has adopted. It is getting ugly. And it is likely to get much worse. Some families (only a few remain) have vowed to fight and not be bullied out of their homes. You might not want to buy realty here unless your hold period is 10+ years. (Perhaps the problem individuals may be gone by then.) * In case you thought the new policy was an overstatement, take a look at this. How would you like to buy a multi million Dollar home in a community where the homeowner's association and the country club boards are making rules like this, to stifle resident decent? https://1drv.ms/b/s!Am_JfFCWegs0qmw0N_B3hAPBU2k9 "

"This was an outstanding community when it was operated by the developer. The developer was highly capable. Since the turnover to the residents less than three years ago, the community has become an angry, anti-family hostile environment. An unelected group of five, small homeowners seized control of the Grey Oaks POA after the developer turnover nearly three years ago. The new unelected GOPOA leaders massively increased the taxes (HOA fees) on large homeowners, they massively diluted the voting power of large homeowners, they entered into the sale of 10-year monopolies on the homes of all GOPOA homeowners (selling the rights to Comcast) to the massive, economic disadvantage of full-time residents and larger homeowners with families. The POA implemented dozens and dozens of new anti-family rules. Kids can't ride a bycicle in the street, they can't ride a scooter or a hoverboard, they can't fly a drone, etc. etc. etc. The Grey Oaks country club has shifted in the same direction. They abruptly fired the long-standing club manager and brought in a new club manager that has zero ability to connect with members. He is a litigious pawn of the club board, ruthlessly implementing the board's cost-cutting agenda without regard to the hard-working, loyal staff members being terminated and otherwise mistreated. The club's spiraling debt load and the enormous waiting list to exit the club (in what remains of a good economic cycle) are a financial disaster waiting to happen. Instead of doing a survey and sincerely attempting to identify and meet resident needs and interests, the Club and the GOPOA have implemented an angry, hostile command and control posture to declare "outstanding member morale" and "excellent leadership" without any evidence of the same. Last week, a 20+ year tennis coach was terminated abruptly without any member advance knowledge or feedback. Both the club leadership and GOPOA leadership is out of control. The average age of the 5 GOPOA unelected board members is 78.2 years! The head of the "technology committee" that sold a 10-year monopoly on our home is nearly 80 year old. The unelected GOPOA Board Member that signed the poorly negotiated agreement is 80! The most recent effort to prevent word from getting out is a set of unconstitutional "media rules" preventing any person employed in any aspect of the media from setting foot on Grey Oaks community property. (What if a resident or a resident's family member works for the local newspaper?) These are the actions of foolish and desperate fools. The property values of large homes in this community are in free-fall. This is only the beginning of what is sure to be a disaster for anyone with a significant real estate investment in Grey Oaks, Naples, FL. Our family is committed to remaining in this community and regaining control of both the club and the GOPOA. "
