In December 2009, Leon Moore, the former developer of the Fairvue Plantation Nashville golf club filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy to reorganize Fairvue Plantation's club debt. Leon Moore was unsuccessful in bankruptcy court in the fall of 2010. Immediately following, the Lakes Course and golf clubhouse was closed.

The Club at Fairvue Plantation is now owned by Gallatin Golf LLC, a private group of investors, some who are members and/or homeowners at Fairvue Plantation. On March 9, 2011, the Lakes Course and clubhouse was reopened under new management; KemperSports.

KemperSports has managed resort and golf communities for more than 30 years. Residents are thrilled the golf course has reopened. We were informed through May 2011, initiation fees have been waived encouraging residents to rejoin the golf club. Members who were in good standing prior to the clubs temporary closure will continue to be members under the new management without paying a new initiation fee. 550 members have committed to re-joining the golf club overlooking Old Lake Hickory, one of the few lakes in Nashville TN.

Update: As of April 2012, the golf club member count exceeds 700.
