Camp Cheeca, for kids ages 5 -12, is a fun, environmentally-focused educational program, designed to teach them about the wildlife of the Florida Keys. Children are treated to an exciting and diverse program including arts and crafts, as well as outdoor activities including beach exploration, fishing from Cheeca lodge’s pier, group games, lagoon swimming & snorkeling, and even scavenger hunts. Florida Keys vacation home owners at the Cheeca enjoy the privilege of exclusive access to private members-only areas that are not available to the resort’s guests, including a beach area with butler service as well as a swanky oceanfront club deck. The 1, 2 & 3 bedroom condominiums available for purchase starting from the low $400's and are equipped with exquisite marble bathtubs, and relaxing private balconies with ocean, lagoon, or golf course views. Ownership permits personally usage up to 28 days per year. Combined units with lock-out doors connecting the adjoining rooms may also be purchased, allowing for increased income opportunities, larger family get-togethers or just to have an adjacent room available for your invited guests. Membership fees for the private residence club is $1,200 a year with a one time refundable $15,000 deposit.

Cheeca Lodge & Spa has been the crown jewel of the Florida Keys for over 60 years. From its opening in 1946 as the Olney Inn, the resort was a retreat for Washington elite including President Harry Truman, who enjoyed the Inn’s 22 bungalows and 1,000 palm trees. In 2005, Cheeca underwent an over $30 million dollars renovation, restoring the property and its surrounding grounds to their original grandeur. Following a fire on New Year's Eve 2008, the Main Lodge was completely rebuilt once again, with a fabulous open-air lobby, a spectacular oceanfront banquet room with panoramic views, and an exclusive indoor / outdoor lounge area for club members. Sunrise attorney Andrew Mann, is NWCL, which was formed in June 2011 by principals of New York-based Northwood Investors. Northwood also owns hotels, retail centers and other types of commercial properties in eight other cities around the United States as well as one in Europe, according to its website.
