The Black Creek at Cummings Cove has been rated one of the Top 10 Golf Courses in Tennessee by Golf Digest and was designed by Brian M. Silver Each year, the Black Creek Club hosts the Chattanooga Classic, one of the stops on the Nationwide Tour. The Black Creek golf course is scheduled to be renovated. The clubhouse expansion and renovation is also planned. The golf course is managed by Troon Golf, a respected global golf course management organization managing many Tennessee golf communities. The Black Creek Club was awarded Best of Chattanooga in 2009 by the U.S. Commerce Association. The Black Creek Grille at the clubhouse, is the hub of Cummings Cove, offering fine and casual dining.

Cummings Cove began development in the late 1990's. Black Creek Club opened in the fall of 2,000, one of the most scenic Chattanooga golf courses. We are uncertain as to who owns the golf community amenities. We do know Troon Golf, a respected global management company manages the club. Doug Stein, Gary and Robert Chazen originally owned the club and acquired the surrounding property. We called the 800 phone number displayed on their website and received a 'temporarily disconnected' message. Alan Solon became partners with the Chazen's and Doug Stein. Solon filed a lawsuit in 2010 for lack of monthly payments agreed to by the partners. We did not find the result of that lawsuit.

Cummings Cove is very well maintained. We are in the process of researching who owns this Eastern Tennessee golf community amenities and how the club will fund the planned renovations.
