Coastal Communities Inc built SeaScape at Holden Plantation. Mark Saunders and Coastal Communities Inc had lawsuits filed against them for unpaid property taxes in Brunswick County relating to several subdivisions. Mark Saunders and Coastal Communites Inc counter sued Brunswick County for issues related to sewer lines. It is our understanding these lawsuits have been settled.
We suggest you contact a legal professional to determine how these legal actions could effect your purchase at SeaScape at Holden Plantation and to find out if there are existing lawsuits at SeaScape at Holden Plantation. The Property Owners Association at SeaScape at Holden Plantation is still managed and controlled by Coastal Communities Inc until 2020.
Update: 2/3/2012 Bank of America filed a lawsuit complaint against Mark Saunders and SeaScape at Holden Plantation for default of the bank note and the bank is requesting the courts appoint a receiver to preserve and protect the community.

Update 5/3/2014 We observed the repairs at the marina were almost complete and were informed property owners were not assessed and that the POA had adequate reserves to cover the repairs.
