Developer is less than one star. He has a complaint before the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors. He is a Defendant in a lawsuit filed by the State of North Carolina for destroying the wetlands in our community and is named a Defendant in a lawsuit brought by 350 owners in SeaScape for multiple violations and charges. Actually, much of the info is found on the Plaintiff's website restoreseascape.org

An update is order from my earlier review. The aforementioned litigation has been settled and agreed to thru arbitration and as such, the community have settled their disagreements as of April 4, 2016. The SeaScape Community and the POA Board now seem to all be on a positive path to make this already idyllic place and community even a better one in which to live.

Mark Saunders and Coastal Communites Inc counter sued Brunswick County for issues related to sewer lines. It is our understanding these lawsuits have been settled. 

We suggest you contact a legal professional to determine how these legal actions could effect your purchase at SeaScape at Holden Plantation and to find out if there are existing lawsuits at SeaScape at Holden Plantation. The Property Owners Association at SeaScape at Holden Plantation is still managed and controlled by Coastal Communities Inc until 2020.

Update: 2/3/2012 Bank of America filed a lawsuit complaint against Mark Saunders and SeaScape at Holden Plantation for default of the bank note and the bank is requesting the courts appoint a receiver to preserve and protect the community.
