Habersham is a classic example new urbanism combined with southern charm. This Beaufort SC real estate development located on the mainland overlooking the Broad River is found in one of the top places to live in South Carolina, the town of Beaufort. Not only a residential neighborhood, the village in the neighborhood has cozy cafes, boutiques and its own post office. The community's swimming pool overlooks Habersham Creek. Just down the path, a River Retreat Pavilion, community boat docks and boat ramp at Louis Pinckney Park are additional community amenities. Tennis courts and a children's treehouse playground are located at Habersham Park. There are eleven community parks in all.

This Beaufort SC real estate development is a bicycle lover's paradise with miles of easy bike paths to ride along leading to inviting wooden bridges over small ponds filled with lilly pads. If kayaking interest's you more, the slow moving river and marsh will intrigue you, tall grasses hiding dolphin and herons. Although Habersham Beaufort has become a popular coastal retirement community, good schools are nearby for families with young children such as Beaufort Christian Academy. Four colleges are with 10 miles of Habersham: University of South Carolina, Technical College of the Lowcountry, Webster University and Park University. The Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) is only five miles from Habersham Beaufort. Military jets take off and land nearby and is what the locals refer to as "the sound of freedom".
