Overlooking the Albemarle Sound, the championship Arnold Palmer Signature golf course at Scotch Hall Preserve has been described as the Jewel of the Inner Banks. In 2009, the course was named as one of America's Best New Private Golf Courses by Golf Digest. Away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, one of the few North Carolina coastal communities on the sound is great place to see millions of stars in the night sky and enjoy boating in NC. But not too far away, you'll find delicious restaurants, one-of-a-kind stores and museums in nearby in Edenton, frequently named one of the best small towns in North Carolina.

Tall cypress trees accent the shoreline and scenic bluff overlooking the Ablemarle Sound, the largest protected sound south of the Chesapeake Bay. Wide open landscapes provide golf course views from every direction and a spacious feel to the neighborhood, one of the few North Carolina golf communities in the area. Originally named Innsbrook, the gated community is 900 acres in size, a nice size for coastal retirement communities. Approximately a dozen homes have been built to date of the 1,200 homes planned.

    • Resort-style Swimming Pool overlooking Albemarle Sound
    • Poolside Grill and Entertainment Area

Still in the early stages of development, we were happy to see the new swimming pool complex, children's playground and boat slips under construction for boating in NC during our recent visit. The swimming pool complex opened Memorial Day Weekend in 2014. We were informed Scotch Hall Preserve is a debt free community. New pastel colored Key West style cottage homes are priced starting in the low $200k's or large ranch style homes are available.

Approximately 10 homes have been built to date of the 255 planned. Buyers have the choice of small footprint Key West style cottages, larger golf course homes or estate size homes in one of the few North Carolina coastal communities on the sound. If you'd prefer to build, golf course lots and waterfront lots are priced starting in the mid $100k's and have no time restrictions to build. Scotch Hall Preserve approved builders include Sound Home Builders.
