Designed with a serious angler in mind, Pirate's Cove in Manteo is home to an impressive deepwater marina and resort-style amenities on the Roanoke Sound. Add to the private island quick Nags Head beach access and you'll find Pirate's Cover has something for everyone. Its full service, deepwater marina boasts 194 boat slips and a charter fleet of 21 fishing boats docked at the base of the Nags Head causeway makes it one of the superbly located North Carolina coastal communities for boating in NC.

The fixed Manteo/Nags Head causeway bridge is 60' at mean tide and a public boat ramp is at the base of the bridge. Roanoke Sound is 90 miles north of Oriental North Carolina and 23 miles south of the Albemarle Sound. Pirate's Cove's protected harbor is one of the largest marina's on the Outer Banks.

The gated community has seven neighborhoods featuring two story townhomes, condos and villas for your Outer Banks home search. Many of the homes are canalfront and have deepwater access directly behind the home and/or beautiful water views. Charming lakes with spraying fountains add to the neighborhoods curb appeal. One side of the development borders miles of blue water and the other, protected marshland and wildlife preserve. It's a great mix of topography in North Carolina coastal communities. 

Pirate's Cove is golf cart friendly and pet friendly. Amenities include two resort-style swimming pools, tennis courts, children's playground, fitness center and a 13,000 square foot community clubhouse near the marina. The neighborhood caters to second home owners and seasonal vacationers. Seasonal rentals are permitted. The annual Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament is one of the community's most popular events but its social calendar includes fishing tournaments, oyster roasts, and events for the kids.
