Due east of the Albemarle Sound and on the northern Outer Banks of North Carolina you'll find a beautiful 660 acre one of the only beach communities in North Carolina on the banks with golf. The Currituck Club borders the Currituck Sound and is across the street from the Atlantic Ocean. It's beach location makes it popular with second home and vacation home owners. Thus, many of the 402 Currituck Club homes planned are rented out during the summer season. Designed with a resort-style atmosphere, Currituck Club boasts a fun filled list of amenities. Its Rees Jones 18 hole championship golf course was named one of the Top Courses in North Carolina by Golf Digest in 1999. This easy to play Outer Banks golf course weaves through rolling dunes, saltwater marsh and has sweeping views of the Currituck Sound. Whether you're a sun worshiper or tennis enthusiast, there's something for everyone at the Currituck Club. The gated community has seven tennis courts, four swimming pools, a recently updated fitness center and convenient beach access. A free community trolley provides transportation to the beach. Just north of the Currituck Club is where you can see Corolla Wild Horses roam the beach. The streets are lined with lighted sidewalks leading to wooden bridges crossing over salt water lagoons and roads ending in cul-de-sacs. Currituck Club has one of the few beach communities in North Carolina with an Outer Banks golf course.

Many of the homes are two or three story homes, pastel in color, with stunning views of the Currituck Sound or of the golf course. Homes for sale in Duck NC include cottages, patio homes, condominiums, golf villas and super-sized single family homes. To access the community's amenities, property owners are required to join the club. Seasonal rentals are permitted. An Outer Banks home search will find homes here beginning in the $400K's and waterfront homes are priced as high as $1.7 million. The gated community is approximately 75% built out.
