Located just 15 minutes north of historic downtown New Bern and off the Intracoastal Waterway, Fairfield Harbour spreads across 2,000 acres. One of the area's most established coastal retirement communities centered around boating offers mostly single family homes but does have a small percentage of condominiums and some are owned as time shares.

Established back in the late 1970's, deepwater homes and golf course homes are the most popular home styles at Fairfield Harbour New Bern NC. Three deepwater marinas cater to 300 boats up to 60 feet in length. In 2012, CAI-NC named Fairfield Harbour Community of the Year, a testament of great New Bern NC golf courses.

"Nov 2016 - One of the most beautiful areas and a well-kept secret. Safe, guarded community, well designed and friendly. The neighborhood used to be older with folks mostly in their 70-80s; Younger owners are moving in. Lots to do - boating to downtown New Bern is my favorite, fishing, biking, kayaking. There's a community center, gym and an amazing restaurant. New owners who are great cooks and staff provides great service. The community is about 10-15 minutes from downtown. I feel safe, have friendly neighbors and we get together often especially in summer and the holidays. Lovely place to live, but shhhh….we don't want anyone else to find out or it'll get too crowded. "Fairfield Harbour is the least happy neighborhood of 6 that I have lived in, where many ill willed cliques exist, and where neighbors look the other way rather than acknowledge you. Not all but many. "
