Baby Boomers are a generation at the precipice of one life achievement ready to embrace the rewards toward the next. The chance to spend more time with loved ones and live the good life on the bay. Coming on July 7-11, 2014, Rarity Bay plans to spoil the grandkids in the community with a golf and tennis camp designed just for them. For kids not into sports, a pool party, trip to the zoo, art programs and the delicious ‘make your own ice cream sundae’ events are planned.

The picture perfect Rarity Bay resides on 960 acres of land and is surrounded by 10 miles of reflective sky blue waters. Amenities like golf, tennis, lakefront community boat docks, swimming pool and very active dog park are available throughout the community. Rarity Bay social clubs like the Rarity Bay Women’s Club are the heart of the community providing an inclusive experience that contributes greatly to the friendly atmosphere.  You don’t have to be a resident of the gated community at Tellico Lake to participate in everything but once you become a member, owning a home at Rarity Bay will feel like the next natural step.

Rarity Bay received our 2014 Bliss Award for Best Tennessee Community of the Year.  After spending time at the bay, we find the high quality of life in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, warm friendliness of the community and well designed lakefront neighborhood are what earned Rarity Bay the title.

Rarity Bay social clubs play an important role in the good life on the bay. The Rarity Bay Women’s Club established in 1998 with 38 members, who like a woman, provide a nurturing hand to the gated community at Tellico Lake. Today the club has grown into 250 members that contribute everyday to the club’s mission: “To provide and support an inclusive social environment, foster informational programs, enhance community relationships and promote charitable works.” These role model women give back to the community in a myriad of ways. Here are some of the wonderful services Rarity Bay Women’s Club sponsors for its members and the local community: garden club, art club, book club, Bible study, community garden, card games, stitching BS, chick flicks, bowling/couples, dinner for eight, tap dancing and more.

What would retirement be without a few games of golf per week? The Rarity Bay Golf and Country Club provides a challenging 72, 18-Hole golf course that runs along the pristine waters of Tellico Lake for both women and men. Boasting a soft receding view of the Great Smoky Mountains, golfers will leave the course feeling refreshed savoring the experience at the end of the day. Club members gain access to outings, themed events, the pro–shop and competitive tournaments.

Another way to absorb the beauty of Tellico Lake is from a horse. The Rarity Bay Equestrian Center is a 150 acre facility with well maintained horse trails around the lake, options to full board or pasture horses, access to the arena and round pen and/or to participate in a rodeo every now again. The professional staff are ready to cater to and train club members and horses, to bring out everyone’s full potential to enjoy the good life on the bay.

Make Rarity Bay on Tellico Lake your new home and begin your golden years right by spoiling your grandkids.
