An exquisite palette of warm meets cool, colors the sunset at Beaufort South Carolina’s best neighborhoods. The salty air wears away at the beachside trees, casting a shape that sings to the evening skies; an inspiring sight for art enthusiasts at Coosaw Point.

Art is described as ‘the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination.’ Location awakens the imagination and Beaufort South Carolina art reflects the influencing beauty of Beaufort SC waterfront real estate. River homes at Coosaw Point awaken the old master within. A lush river bend pulls calming waters from the St. Helena Sound, as weeping willows hug the proximity.

Within a fifteen minute drive of Coosaw Point, an array of art galleries and events await. Approximately 20 minutes out towards the Atlantic Ocean, along U.S. 21 South, are popular beaches and island hotspots such as Harbor Island, St. Helena Island, and Hunting Island. Beaufort SC waterfront real estate boasts the most beautiful waterfront homes in the region. After a stroll along the picturesque beaches, head downtown to see art in motion at the galleries along Bay Street.

Numerous councils and programs surround Beaufort SC to protect and further art education in the area. ARTworks, the Arts Council of Beaufort County, is the town’s community art center. The gallery and theater hosts a range of events throughout the year; presenting Beaufort South Carolina art. Concerts, storytelling, and exhibits showcase local and traveling artists that contribute to inspiration through lessons and creative works.

January is highlighted by A Wind Through Time Exhibition and One Stone: a tower raising campaign. Greek musician, composer & instrument artisan, Yannis Pantazis, combines tangible art with performance in his expression through handmade wind instruments. The accompanying presentation also explores an interactive methodology as visitors join in on the fun with bells and drums.

The excitement does not stop there for Beaufort South Carolina best neighborhoods and their residents. Adult and kid’s art classes are held throughout the month. Whether your medium is pottery, glass, or paint brush, all ages are invited to indulge at ARTworks campaign for creativity.
