Published on July 25, 2014

The doctors are in at the Reserve at Lake Keowee this year! That is - two doctors who specialize in adding more pleasure to an award winning gated Western South Carolina lake community. Drs. Tony and Marianne Lenti are gracing The Reserve at Lake Keowee with their artist presence. For more than 40 years, this couple and piano duo has been leaving audiences in awe from their phenomenal performances. Now, club members can hear their music on a regular basis thanks to the Artist in Residence program at The Reserve at Lake Keowee.

On August 10, 2014, The Lenti's will perform at The Founder's Hall for the community's Artist in Residence program. From 5:00-6:00 p.m., property owners will gather to welcome the musicians in the spotlight and enjoy the sweet melodies. While previous chosen artists may have featured one talent in the program, this couple offers more for the Lake Keowee real estate development. The Lenti's bring both music and art!

Marianne Lentil met Tony while they were students at Eastman School of Music. Their relationship and talents flourished while they performed together in Florence, Italy. They both instructed at Lander University, and their recordings have been featured on the radio for years. In addition, the couple performed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington and held appointments in some of the most prestigious venues in the country. The duo has traveled to 33 states to showcase popular musical numbers and unique arrangements. Their European tours included visits in Milan, Warsaw, London and Florence, and now they are part of the Lake Keowee real estate community. Although their musical careers took them around the world, Marianne’s passion for visual arts makes this year’s Artist in Residence choice even more spectacular.

In 2005, Marianne changed career directions to pursue other artistic mediums. She enjoys American Impressionist styles of visual art and expressed herself  in charcoal, pastel, oil and acrylic mediums. Her pieces can be viewed in her studio and gallery at the Arts Center of Greenwood, while her workshops and demonstrations are scheduled at the Hill House in this gated Western South Carolina lake community. For those interested in attending, Marianne will be hosting an Information Painting Workshop on August 12th and August 13th from 1:00- 3:00 p.m. at Hill House.

While Marianne is occupied at Hill House, Tony will be showing off his years of piano genius at Founder’s Hall. His first hosted event is on August 11, 2014 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. and called, “Making the Listener Respond Emotionally: The Tools of a Composer.” Attendees will learn how to artistically enhance beautiful arrangements, and also experience his musical brilliance - front row and center.  On August 12, 2014, Tony’s performance, Frederick Chopin: A Sketch in Words and Music is from 7:30- 8:30 p.m.

Both Marianne and Tony are superb choices for the honorable title of Artist in Residence. It is no wonder why The Reserve at Lake Keowee invited them both for the 2014 program as continue to attract interest guest lecturers and educators.
