Smart thinking in our opinion because this restriction prevents locals from joining the Dataw Island Club burdening this South Carolina coastal community with crowds of people who are unlikely home buyers. The cost to join the Vacation Membership Program at Dataw Island is a $1,500 initiation fee plus $1,500 in annual dues. Privileges of membership include 30 rounds of golf annually at Dataw Island’s stunning golf course, marina, use of the top notch tennis facilities, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, fitness center and dining privileges at the club.
