Clemson Invitational Returns to The Reserve at Lake Keowee

For the second consecutive year, Clemson University’s women’s golf team will host the Clemson Invitational at The Reserve at Lake Keowee from March 30 – April 2. The Reserve at Lake Keowee’s award-winning Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course will provide the backdrop for a practice round on Thursday, March 30, followed by competitive play among participating collegiate women’s golf teams from across the country on Friday through Sunday, March 31 – April 2.  

“The members and staff of The Reserve at Lake Keowee are extremely proud and honored to be the host site for the 2017 Clemson Invitational.  Talented young ladies from seventeen prestigious universities throughout the United States will compete on our Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course for the second year, and we welcome them to experience all of the wonderful things The Reserve at Lake Keowee has to offer.  Please come out and watch the future stars of the LPGA Tour,” said David Fleming, General Manager of The Reserve at Lake Keowee.

Seventeen women’s golf teams – up from fourteen teams in 2016 – will be participating in the 2017 Clemson Invitational at The Reserve at Lake Keowee, seven of which are ranked in the NCAA’s top 25:

  • Tulane University
  • Vanderbilt University

“We are thrilled to be back at The Reserve at Lake Keowee for our second Clemson Invitational.  The course is ideal for a collegiate event as we’re hosting some of the top teams in the nation,” said Kelley Hester, Head Coach of Clemson Women’s Golf Team. Hester, along with Assistant Coach Heather Bowie Young, previously on the LPGA Tour, will be leading the Lady Tigers at the Clemson Invitational.

The Reserve at Lake Keowee pulled together more than 35 host homes and 65 volunteers as a part hosting the tournament. Spectators are welcome as this event is open to the general public and there is no charge to watch.
