Santa Claus is coming to town and in Beaufort, South Carolina and he is going to have to share the spotlight this holiday season.  Inclement weather forced the Annual Beaufort Shrimp Festival to take a back seat in October. But the organizers in America's Happiest Seaside Town weren’t giving up that easily. The Holiday Shrimp Festival is now part of Main Street Beaufort, USA’s weekend of holiday festivities, which includes the Light Up the Night Boat Parade.

Talk about a jam-packed weekend–four events in one weekend–and it all starts on Friday, December 4th and continues through Sunday, December 6th. The fun will range from festivities on land and sea, and residents of Fripp South Carolina know how to have a good time in the Low Country. Attendees will be able to sample dishes from area restaurants that will be cooking up tasty treats as they compete for several awards including Best Shrimp Dish, Best Booth Decoration, People’s Choice and the Silver Cup. But that’s just a small sample of what to expected.  Here is a look at what else will be on tap for the big Low Country weekend.
