If you love the arts, music, food and wine, and want to live surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery, make your way this coming May to Greenville, South Carolina, where the little mountain town will host the annual Artisphere. At this nationally recognized festival, discover how locals and visitors celebrate the arts in different mediums, including fine arts, performing arts, culinary arts and more - all in one of the best cities to live in South Carolina

From May 12th to 14th, Greenville expects tens of thousands of visitors for the event. During the three days, there will be live bands, artists' demonstrations, a culinary arts cafe, and activities for kids. If you like golf, its a good time to explore Greenville SC golf communities. And if you enjoy lifelong learning courses in art, you will learn a lot from the art exhibits coming to South Carolina.

Artisphere's goal is to engage, inspire, and enrich our lives by celebrating the arts. Attractions, exhibitions, and lifelong learning courses during the festival will include:

  • An Art Lab with Jewelry Making, Vino and Van Gogh Adult Painting, and a Mini Picasso Painting Class for Kids
  • A Culinary Arts Cafe, featuring menu offerings from 8 of Greenville’s favorite restaurants
  • The STEAM exhibit, featuring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math displays by students of Clemson University
  • Kidsphere, where young budding artists can learn art techniques while making quilts, bird kites, and super hero masks
  • Artists Demo Row, featuring regional artists in glassblowing, woodwork, metalwork, ceramics, printmaking and more
  • And on Friday & Saturday from 1:00 – 6:00 pm, and Sunday from 1:00 – 5 pm, adults can sample great craft beers and wines at the Wine and Craft Beer Experience.

To support this year's event, and to "make the arts accessible to all Greenville residents and visitors from across the region", Artisphere was awarded a $21,159 grant by the South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) for the 2017 fiscal year.
