8th Annual Fall Festival at Habersham

Fall Festivals and Markets
Published on October 26, 2016

Fall is in full swing and that means fall festivals are at their peak. While there are plenty of fall festivals to choose from in around South Carolina, the 8th Annual Habersham Harvest Festival was a must do for locals. This Lowcountry street festival is so popular that organizers have turned it into a two-day extravaganza.

In the past, the event was held only on Saturdays. This year, attendants won’t have to cram all the fun into one day because the festival now runs through the weekend. The two-day event kicked off at 10am on Saturday, October 22nd and ran until 4pm that evening. Then again on Sunday, October 23rd from noon until 4pm.

Thanks to the added day, families were able to savor all off the sights and sounds of the season, while enjoying Lowcountry traditions and learning about the area’s agriculture and supporting local vendors. The kids will especially enjoy this festival. There will be plenty of fun activities for them including a 47’ ferris wheel, face painting, petting zoo, hayride and much more.

While the children were enjoying their fun, the adults took in the live music on the Hargray main stage or checkout the artisan vendors.

The Habersham community rolls out the red carpet for this event. It’s the attention to details, friendliness and charm of this neighborhood that draws people to the festival year after year. It’s also what makes South Carolina coastal real estate so desirable. Those attributes were probably instrumental in Southern Living Magazine’s decision to name Habersham South Carolina’s premiere Southern Living Inspired Community. And the accolades don’t stop there. The National Association of Home Builders awarded this neighborhood with the “Best Neighborhood Design in America.”

Stroll along the oak-lined streets and see first hand how everything from the layout of the community, to the landscape and architectural style of the homes are inspired by the rich history surrounding this neighborhood. There are also numerous activities within the community that residents can enjoy including 3 tennis courts, a fitness trail, parks and picnic areas and community gardens to name a few.

The sense of community, the numerous amenities and variety of home styles make South Carolina coastal real estate a desirable choice when relocating or thinking of purchasing a second. Habersham homes pay homage to the rich architecture style of the past with a modern and updated esthetic. Homeowners can choose from two Village Flat floor plans. Head inside and make it a dream home by including high ceilings, custom moldings and cabinets and built-ins.

Habersham is conveniently located just minutes away from the historic city of Beaufort.
