If you haven’t gotten your ticket for one of the most popular horse show events this summer, you better move fast.  The 23rd Charleston Summer Classic kicked off on Wednesday, July 8th and runs through Saturday, July 18th.  This year, organizers are promising the event will be one of the best ever in close proximity to the beautiful south barrier island beaches. So, you don’t want to tarry on getting your tickets because equines will be flocking to the South Carolina equestrian retirement communities for this premiere event.  

It all starts with a fabulous welcome party, which will be followed by several days of food, fun, wine and horses.  The competition will be fierce this year, especially with a $35,000 Grand Prix each week.  Here’s a look at the 8 days of festivities:

  • Friday, July 10th - $35,000 Regions Private Wealth Management - Grand Prix Party
  • Tuesday, July 14 22nd - Annual Unbridled Affair - Beach Club, 6pm
  • Wednesday, July 15th - 8th Annual BBQ - Tissy’s Oak River Farm, 6pm
  • Thursday, July 16th - USHJA Hunter Derby Party - Grand Pavilion, 5pm
  • Friday, July 17th - $35,000 Devoucoux Grand Prix Party - Grand Pavilion, 5pm
  • Saturday, July 18th - Farewell Brunch - Grand Pavilion, 10am
