Apples have fascinated mankind since Biblical times. We wonder if Eve would have eaten two if she got a taste of a Gala Apple grown nowadays in the mountains of North Carolina? Mankind still loves apples and every year, for the past 68 years, during harvest season Hendersonville, North Carolina hosts a festival in honor of the forbidden fruit. BRIGHT'S CREEK:

A golf community boasting a Tom Fazio designed course designed to provide nearly continuous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains; Bright's Creek also has an award winning equestrian center. Named the Best Equestrian Community in 2008 by Southern Style, the facility features 12 miles of groomed riding trails, maintained pastures, boarding, dressage training area and a jumping arena. CHAMPION HILLS:

This golf community has the distinction of being named one of the Top 10 Best Golf Courses in North Carolina by Golf Digest. The course was designed by its own summer resident, Tom Fazio. Other amenities at Champion Hills include 25,000 square foot golf clubhouse with dining, fitness center, tennis courts and over 17 miles of hiking trails. Active social club opportunities abound organized around the centerpiece Clubhouse.

KENMURE:

Kenmure is a gated country club community with an active social agenda. There are 14 social clubs, plus golf, swimming and tennis. The former Kenmure Mansion has been repurposed to provide a clubhouse venue for dining and socializing.  The golf course on the property was named one of the top 50 in the Southeast by Golf Week magazine. The course was designed by Joe Lee, a golf course architect whose clients include Disney. Kenmure Country Club is in close proximity to Flat Rock too.

CARRIAGE PARK:

Carriage Park is a gated community that features a 24 hour manned gate, 9,000 square foot clubhouse, indoor swimming pool, tennis and bocce courts, and a 65 acre stocked fishing lake. A diversity of housing types are available in Carriage Park in their 17 neighborhoods. Homesites to Townhomes to Villas to Single Family Homes are available here, the site encompasses 400 acres and of 700 homes planned, 460 have been completed to date.
