Coming this September 2016, the city will host its annual 2016 North Carolina Apple Festival. From September 2 - September 5, you can enjoy 4 days of fun at one of the best known Street Fairs in the Carolinas, with freshly picked apples, arts & crafts, delicious foods, and free entertainment at the Historic Courthouse on the city's quaint Main Street. Events and entertainment at this year's North Carolina Apple Festival include:

Street Fair -  Throughout the festival, Hendersonville’s Main Street will be home to a nine block Street Fair with over 200 vendors including quality arts & crafts vendors and wonderful festival food. You can also purchase fresh apples from one of 15 local growers, or enjoy a caramel apple or fried apple pie! All day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, there will free live entertainment at the Historic Courthouse. There are also children and youth activities.

The Street Fair will be happening from 10:00 am until 8:00 pm Friday through Sunday. On Labor Day, the hours are from 10:00 am until the end of the parade.

Children's Activities  - Throughout the festival, children can enjoy rides, inflatables, and more in the Family Fun Zone, sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank! There are two locations — Wells Fargo Bank and the Visitor’s Center. 

Hours for the Family Fun Zone are Friday, Saturday & Sunday 10am-9pm, Monday from 10am - 4pm

On Friday, September 2nd the event schedule includes:

  • Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM - A pancake breakfast with bacon, grits, cooked apple slices with cinnamon and brown sugar, apple juice, coffee and milk-generous portions for all.  Cost of breakfast is $7.00.  Join your friends in an air conditioned, friendly setting to kick off the 2016 NC Apple Festival Weekend.  The breakfast is held at First Baptist Church, Corner of 4th Avenue & Washington Street (please use the 4th Avenue entrance).
