Eat, drink and enjoy! That’s the agenda for those planning to attend the 5th Annual Dahlonega Wine Trail. This year’s event is on Saturday, August 20th & Sunday, August 21st and it remains as one of the most popular wine tours in Georgia.

Set in the heart of Georgia’s wine country, the Dahlonega Wine Trail draws lots of visitors as well as residents from North Georgia retirement communities. Five wineries are taking part in this year’s festival. Passports for the weekend can be purchased for $35. They allow participants one visit to each winery. Vineyards along the trail include:

  • Cavender Creek Vineyard
  • Frogtown Cellars
  • Montaluce Winery Estate
  • Three Sisters Vineyard & Winery
  • Wolf Mountain Vineyards

The drive is about 39 miles long and will take just over an hour without figuring in wine tastings. Wine enthusiasts know this is one of the top wine tours in Georgia. We were impressed how fantastic the wines are in Georgia. Participants can sample award-winning local, regional and international wines as they taste and tour the beautiful terrain.

In addition to the beautiful vineyards and wineries, there are also lots of fun things to enjoy in the mountains of Dahlonega County including the breathtaking views from the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains.
