Retirees are excited for the Palm Coast and Flagler Beach Senior Games to begin and the odds are that Baby Boomers will have a lot of fun in this part of the Sunshine State. The idyllic Palm Coast homes, Sea Gate Homes and endless beach lifestyle are what attracts most to Flagler Beach, but this upcoming fall event is just another perk for those living in Grand Haven or other gated communities in Palm Coast

From September 13th-20th, the Flagler Beach and Palm Coast Senior Games kick off in at the Community Center to represent this local sanction. Originally, the Senior Games were introduced in 1992 by the Florida Sports Foundation in Bradenton, FL. As popularity grew, local Senior Games were started in several cities in the sunny state. Now, the Palm Coast’s local games serves as a qualifier for the Florida Senior Games State Championships. For every non-Olympic year, the winners of the State Championships advance to the National Senior Games to show off their talents and athleticism to the rest of the country.

This year, the Flagler Beach and Palm Coast Senior Games will challenge folks in their Golden Years in a wide variety of sports and activities – beginning with a 5K run at the crack of dawn at the Community Center. While these events are going to be the highlights of the week, residents of the gated communities in Palm Coast enjoy year-round perks that come with this particular retirement area. The lower cost of living, gorgeous beaches, vibrant arts and culture, shopping and dining have attracted Baby Boomers to this region for years. Florida-Hospital Flagler offers advanced and progressive health care and 19 medical specialities including home care, hospice services, state-of-the-art surgical services around the clock. Check out what else  these communities can offer to permanent residents and members.

Grand Haven is the place for nature-lovers and golf enthusiasts. With spectacular views of the Intracoastal Waterway, retirees can play on the Jack Nicklaus 18-hole championship golf course or swim in the heated Olympic swimming pool. These single family homes, villas and condominiums are only seven miles away from Flagler Beach, but boaters can hit the water at the ramp next door with easy Intracoastal Waterway access. Throw in the thriving social groups and activities like: Yoga, book clubs, Tai Chi, ballroom dancing. There is no question that this is a great place to live at retirement.

Palm Coast Plantation is 4,000 acres of residential elegance. Originally the setting was a wildlife preserve, but now retirees can enjoy the outdoors 24/7. Luxury waterfront homes and Key West style architecture compliment the natural terrain. The Fitness Center and Lakefront Clubhouse give Baby Boomers an opportunity to stay active and social year round. Residents can take advantage of the sunshine on a regular basis at the adjacent Herschel King Park, Bocce Ball courts and Tennis courts. Natural beauty and luxury meet beautifully at Palm Coast Plantation.

Beach Haven is the perfect getaway residence that is located 1.5 miles south of Marineland. This community works hard to preserve nature and wildlife, but still offers residents elegant amenities within walking distance of the beach. Residents can be found lounging in the Open Air Pavilion and Bathhouse, strolling along the lakeside walking trails or swimming in the resort-style pool overlooking the lake. New Palm Coast cottage homes are abundant in this Florida beach community.

Tidelands on Intracoastal is a Palm Coast waterfront community that exceeds all odds. Located between St. Augustine and Daytona Beach, this Palm Coast neighborhood offers retirees a selection of condominiums, townhomes and single family homes. Florida Modern and Mediterranean styles are the popular choices in this community, and the amenities sweeten the deal even more. Residents can enjoy a mile long walking and biking trail along the Intracoastal Waterway, a resort-style swimming pool, outdoor waterfront cabanas, Fitness Center and more. It’s easy to win at Tidelands on Intracoastal, and there is no reason to wait.

While these communities are winners by themselves, retirees who choose the right builder will be awarded in more ways than one. We find Sea Gate Homes to be a champion of residential excellence. They are a family-owned homebuilder that has earned an amazing reputation in the Palm Coast area, specifically in the community of Grand Haven. Since 1992, Sea Gate Homes has been designing and building custom homes that have been the hot topic in the Palm Coast towns. This home builder provides new homes in many Palm Coast communities with award-winning building designs and even quick-move in options for those who cannot wait to begin the next chapter of their lives. It is truly a winner in Palm Coast.
