The 5th Annual St. Augustine Film Festival is Back

Grab a bucket hot popcorn and an ice cold Cola. The 5th annual St. Augustine Film Festival is back in one of the best Florida beach towns and runs from Jan. 23–25 at the Lewis Auditorium, The Fountain of Youth, and on two screens at the hip Corazon Cinema.  This popular festival features 26 films from 11 countries and is one of the most fun things to do in St. Augustine FL at retirement. Over 26 films will be shown during the event. Here’s what to expect at the various locations:

Friday - January 23, 2015

The international film festival will also feature three parties available only to VIP FAST Pass Holders. A limited number are offered for sale at $100 each and includes all parties and films. A Film Only Fast Pass is available for $60. Single tickets are available for $8 for seniors and $10 for general admission. Tickets can still be purchased in advance on the website.

Flagler College is once again the film festival’s hosting sponsor. Beautiful Flagler College is a small, private residential college located in St. Augustine, one of the most historic cities in Florida. Flagler College students choose from 29 majors and 34 minors. Degrees are available in business, education, design, fine art, psychology, communication and sport management, to name a few. Legend holds that the Juan Ponce de Leon, the Spanish explorer who discovered Florida in 1513, first set foot in the St. Augustine area. He came in search of the Fountain of Youth and according to local tradition drank from the small spring on the grounds of today's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. These days, Ponce de Leon’s Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park is of the area’s top attractions such as Fort Matanzas National Monument, Castillo De San Marcos National Monument and Fort Mose Historic State Park. Its long, rich history spanning nearly 500 years delights and amazes visitors and history buffs.
