Development of Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock NC began in the mid 1980's. Early in 1997, Chetola was purchased by Rachael Renar and her son, Kent Tarbutton. In the fall of 2004, the Manor House Estate House became the Bob Timberlake Inn at Chetola Resort and was named the only Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing Lodge in the state of North Carolina.
