Horsepasture River runs through this North Carolina mountain community filled with Rainbow Trout. 3.5 miles of hiking trails lead to Miller Falls, one of 11 waterfalls on property. Burlingame Country Club is located in the Land of Waterfalls. 5 acres Mills River Park has an outdoor pavilion and children's playground along the beautiful Horsepasture River. Across the bridge, Burlingame's dog park provides playful pooch access to the Horsepasture River. Lake Sequolah is a 23 acre lake located in the middle of the community, which allows boats to access the lake with non-combustible engines, boats docked behind Burlingame Country Club homes. The lush temperate rainforest, hardwood trees and fauna enhance this North Carolina mountain community's lush landscape. 10,000 acre Gorges State Park is located just north of the community's entrance.
Buyer's searching for Cashiers real estate will find Burlingame Country Club homes for sale with Mountain Style architecture. Prices start in the high $300k's and estate homes are priced over $1 million. Golf course villas for sale are priced in the mid $200k's. Lots for sale at Burlingame Country Club can be found under $50k. Property owners are not required to join the golf club, although most property owners do to participate in the social clubs and join the club to access the community's amenities. Development began at Burlingame Country Club in 1981. Real estate developer Mark Meadows bought this North Carolina mountain community assets in 2006. In 2009, Burlingame Country Club was taken over by the Property Owners Association. The club incurred $1.5 in long term debt to acquire the assets. Club members are currently being assessed $120 a month until the debt is retired.
