Sea Oaks Beach and Tennis Club is as an active gated community tucked between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Vero Beach beaches in one of the best Florida beach towns. Spread across 125 acres, there are over 500 vacation home residences here. People enjoy relocating to Florida because there is no state income tax. Its oceanfront clubhouse is the social hub of the community with its heated swimming pool and jacuzzi facing the azure-colored Atlantic Ocean. The community offers fine, covered dining at the elevated poolside gazebo.

The Lowcountry-style Sea Oaks Tennis Club has a restaurant, lockers, showers and a pro shop along with 16 Har-Tru tennis courts with grandstand seating. At the adjacent community center, we observed residents enjoying the meeting space, library, and card room for socializing and community events. Pastel-colored courtyard homes at The Preserve are within a stone’s throw of the championship tennis center.

"This community is a poorly run retirement community. Maintenance is extremely poor. If you are under sixty and not white or married, you are not welcomed."
